Emily's hair has been more and more unmanageable and Julia had proposed a joint hair appointment so finally I bit the bullet and agreed to it. At Y4000 (nearly 30 pounds) it was steep, but fair enough as the stylist took half an hour to wash, cut and dry it and could have made twice that from an adult client. Both the girls looked lovely so I didn't begrudge the cost at all. He cut a lot off, shaping it into a neat bob, and she looked very grown up but crucially, for once she didn't appear to have been dragged through a hedge backwards.
Nick joined us after our salon visit and we headed over to NikoNiko playground. Cliff had already taken Charlize on the bicycle. It was a lovely day so we were able to picnic in the sunshine. We stayed for a couple of hours but the girls didn't go on much of the equipment, preferring to play in the leaves. Nick left before we did as he had a bash to attend at his boss's place out west of town.
I thought I had been pretty good with food this week and exercised well, but the scales put me at exactly the same as last Sunday (64kg). Absolutely no chance now of hitting 10 stone in two weeks' time but I feel fairly sanguine about it and have at least made a few changes to my eating habits.

love the new hairdo ! Emily looks suitably nervous while in the chair; I certainly recognise that feeling.
